General notes and mandatory information

Name of the data controller

The responsible party for data processing on this website (data controller) is:

Gezeiten GmbH & Co. KG
Caroline Arp
Im Bad 67
25826 St. Peter-Ording

The controller determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, contact details, etc.) alone or jointly with others.

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Some data processing operations may only be carried out with your express consent. You can revoke any consent already given at any time. An informal message by e-mail is sufficient to revoke your consent. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right of appeal to the competent supervisory authority

As the data subject, you have the right to appeal to the competent supervisory authority in the event of a breach of the data protection regulations. The competent supervisory authority for data protection issues is the state data protection commissioner of the federal state in which our company has its headquarters. A list of the data protection commissioners and their contact details is available via the following link: www.bfdi.bund.de/DE/Infothek/Anschriften_Links/anschriften_links-node.html.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have the data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or for the performance of a contract handed over to you or to third parties. It will be supplied in a machine-readable format. If you request a direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

Right of access, right to rectification, blocking and erasure

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right of access – free of charge and at any time – to your stored personal data, the origin of the data and its recipients, as well as the purpose of data processing and, if applicable, a right to rectification, blocking or erasure of this data. For this purpose, as well as for any further questions relating to personal data, you can contact us at any time using the contact details specified in the legal notice.

SSL or TLS encryption

Our website uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content to us as the operator of the website. This means that third parties are unable to read any data you transmit via this website. An encrypted link can be identified by “https://” in the address line of your browser and the padlock symbol in the browser bar.

Data transmission upon conclusion of a contract for the purchase and shipment of goods

Personal data will only be transmitted to third parties if there is a necessity to do so in the course of performing the contract. Third parties may include payment service providers or logistics companies, for example. No further transmission of the data will take place, unless we have your express consent.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or to take steps prior to entering into a contract.

Contact form

Any data transmitted via the contact form will be stored along with your contact details to enable us to process your enquiry or to help you with any follow-up questions. This data will not be shared without your consent.

The processing of the data entered in the contact form is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke any consent already given at any time. An informal message by e-mail is sufficient to revoke your consent. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Any data transmitted via the contact form will remain with us until you request us to erase it, revoke your consent to its storage, or there is no longer any need for the data to be stored. Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – shall remain unaffected.

Instant payment service

Our website allows payment using an instant payment service called “Sofortüberweisung”. This payment service is provided by Sofort GmbH, Theresienhöhe 12, 80339 Munich.

This “Sofortüberweisung” payment method enables us to receive a payment confirmation from Sofort GmbH in real time and to begin fulfilling our obligations immediately.

When a payment is made using the “Sofortüberweisung” payment method, your PIN and TAN are transmitted to Sofort GmbH. The payment service provider uses these to log into your online banking account, to automatically check your account balance and to make the transfer. We receive a transaction confirmation immediately afterwards. Your turnover, the credit limit of your overdraft facility and the existence of other accounts and their balances are also automatically checked after logging in.

In addition to your PIN and TAN, the payment data and your personal details are also transmitted to Sofort GmbH. Your personal data includes your first and last name, address, telephone number(s), e-mail address, IP address and any other data required to process the payment. This data needs to be transmitted to establish your identity beyond any doubt and to prevent any attempts at fraud.

Your data will be transmitted to Sofort GmbH on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent) and Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (processing for the performance of a contract). You can revoke any consent already given at any time. Past data processing operations remain valid in the event of revocation.
